Lance McCullers, Jr. left the game with a 3-1 lead and two runners on in the top of the 6th inning only for reliever Michael Feliz to give up four singles and a walk/wild pitch that allowed five runs in. The Yankees sent 10 batters to the plate in that inning and held on for a 13-4 victory over the Astros Friday night. Outfielder Nori Aoki even pitched an inning of relief, giving up three runs.
The Rockets were rumored to be hot on the trail of Pacers’ forward Paul George until Ramona Shelburne broke news Friday night.
And with that, the Rockets shifted their attention to other free agents.
Iguodala would help replace some of the defensive talent that was shipped out of town in the Chris Paul trade.
And on top of all the rumors, the Rockets signed center Nene to a three year, $10.9 million contract.
With free agency beginning at midnight, expect a whirlwind of news in the next few days.
Editor’s note: this post has been updated as more details on Nene’s contract were revealed.
